Congratulations to the Watchung Hills Jr. Warriors Hockey Club Bantam teams. Both Gold and Black took home their division championship trophies over the weekend.
Bantam Black Defeats Roxbury
The Watchung Hills Jr Warriors Bantam Black team faced a tough opponent in Roxbury. The end of the second period ended in a 3-3 tie with Daniel Adams (Bedminster), Ryan Lamberson (Bridgewater), Brady Sifert (Warren) all putting one in the net. In the third, Jacob Fullman (Millington) put in the fourth and what would be the game-winning goal.
Ryan Lamberson (Bridgewater) scored the fifth goal late in the third period. Roxbury pulled the goalie in an effort to tie the game and Julian Jogelkar (Warren) put the 6th goal in for the Warriors.
Peewee Sarah Martin (Metuchen) held strong in net.


Bantam Gold Rolls Over Randolph
Bantam Gold faced Randolph Friday night in what was expected to be a tough game. The Warriors brought their A-game and by the end of the first period were ahead 6-0. With a final game score of 16-3, the Warriors claimed the MCYHL division championship for a second year in a row.
The Bantam Gold Warriors first won the division championship as mites in 2014. All of the team will be graduating out of the Watchung Hills Jr. Warriors this year with many moving on to Watchung Hills Regional High School.
